Backup MBR

dd if=/dev/sda1 of=originial-mbr-usb.dd bs=512k count=1

Create Partitions

cfdisk /dev/sda1

Make a bootable FAT16 Partition.

Install simple boot manager to Master Boot Record

install-mbr -v  /dev/sda1

Create filesystem on first partition

mkdosfs -F 16 -vc /dev/sda1

Install SYSLINUX to first partition

syslinux -s /dev/sda1

-s install the "simple, slow and stupid" syslinux code.

Mount the first partition

mount -v /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb

Mount the ISO image of the OS to install

mount -o loop fd1440.img /mnt/floppy

Copy the files over to your partition

cp -pr /mnt/floppy/* /mnt/usb/

Post-Install/First Boot

Set USB-HDD or USB-ZIP as bootable device in your BIOS.
